On day 3 we created space to just be in order to feel the fear we have been holding. Hopefully you can get a better sense through this practice of the nature of your fear and recognise it for what it is - a story we tell ourselves that can be altered by truth.
Today, we are reaching into our personal toolboxes where we have the tools stored to help us move through feelings of fear so that we can move forward in the direction of divine destiny.
One of the books I am currently reading is Still Together: Connection Through Meditation by speaker and mindfulness teacher Manoj Dias. In the book, Manoj candidly shares that he initially used addictions to cope with his anxiety and stress. Manoj says …
“The day my life began to really transform was when my [meditation] practice asked me to look at the root causes of these issues … I had the tools I needed to feel more engaged with my life. They had been with me all along.” (pp. 70-71)
Like Manoj experienced, perhaps we also are avoiding addressing the root causes of our fear and the various issues it gives rise to - addictions, denial, procrastination, illness and much more.
So today, let’s ask ourselves what attitudes, positive habits or skills (tools) can I reach into my toolbox and access to help me move through the fear I am working through in this 9 DAYS NO FEAR challenge?
It is important when reflecting upon this question to consider why a particular attitude, positive habit or skill will help you with the particular fear you have identified.
For example, I may be fearful of not meeting a particular deadline because I have no motivation to complete the task due. Maybe I can draw upon my positive habit of journalling to express why I have this fear and outline all the positive benefits I will experience by meeting the deadline (e.g. the ability to move forward, have time for doing the things that are important to me etc.)
So today is all about solutions and identifying helpful and perhaps very simple tools we can use to move through our fear and get us closer to the person waiting on the other side.
So now it is your turn:
My fellow human, remember (as Manoj says) that you do possess the tools needed to overcome the fear that is keeping you disengaged from life . What destiny, direction, mission or opportunity will you now be running toward?

I personally commit this challenge to Jehovah God in prayer because I can do nothing without Him. One of my favourite names for God is Jehovah Jireh meaning “The Lord will Provide.” And I believe the Lord will provide for you in your situation.
